�Faded Glory� is my cry that the strength and power of the United States is in danger of fading away. The image of the billowing flag of the United States is laid over the continent. The red stripes of the flag represent valor, yet they are covered with the ripped piece of the Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights and the Constitution, which have recently been eroded and threatened. The damage to these precious documents seems to diminish the brilliance that our country once carried. It is my hope and prayer that America will again possess the strength and power that it was designed to be.

Smiths love for art was nurtured at a young age when she was fortunate to have lived in Taranto, Italy.
